Trust Is Built, Not Claimed: Presien Achieves SOC 2 Type II
Presien Team | March 2026

At Presien, we ask heavy industry operators to trust our AI with something that matters more than data: the safety of their people. That's not a responsibility we take lightly. And it means that security, privacy, and compliance aren't afterthoughts for us — they're engineered in from the start.
Today, we're proud to announce that Presien has achieved SOC 2 Type II certification — the gold standard in data security for technology companies. This milestone caps an extraordinary twelve months of compliance achievements that reflect our deep commitment to operating with integrity at every level.
A Year That Defined Our Security Foundation
To understand what SOC 2 Type II means, it helps to understand what came before it.
Over the past year, Presien has built a compliance framework from the ground up — not because regulators required it, but because our customers deserve it.
It started with ISO 27001, the internationally recognised standard for information security management systems. Earning ISO 27001 certification required us to implement a rigorous, systematic approach to managing sensitive information: identifying risks, establishing controls, and embedding security thinking across every part of our organisation. It's a standard trusted by enterprises and governments worldwide, and earning it set the structural foundation for everything that followed.
Next came SOC 2 Type I, which verified that our security controls were properly designed and in place at a point in time. Think of it as the blueprint review — an independent auditor confirmed that what we said we were doing matched what we had actually built.
We also implemented GDPR compliance, aligning our data handling practices with Europe's stringent privacy framework. For Presien, this wasn't just a legal obligation — it was a signal to our global customers and partners that we handle data the way they expect: transparently, responsibly, and with individual rights at the centre.
Each of these milestones mattered. But they were all building toward something bigger.
SOC 2 Type II: The Proof Is in the Period
If SOC 2 Type I is the blueprint review, SOC 2 Type II is the live inspection — conducted not once, but continuously over an extended observation period.
Unlike Type I, which captures a snapshot, SOC 2 Type II evaluates whether your security controls actually work, consistently, over time. Independent auditors examine your systems, processes, and controls across months of real operations. They look at the five Trust Services Criteria — Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy — and verify that your commitments aren't just written down, but practiced every day.
For technology companies that handle sensitive operational data in high-stakes environments, this is the certification that separates genuine security commitment from marketing copy.
We passed.
That means an independent, accredited third party has verified that Presien's security controls are not only well-designed, but consistently and effectively operated. For our customers across mining, construction, agriculture, and rail — industries where the consequences of failure are measured in human lives and critical infrastructure — that assurance is everything.
What This Means for Our Customers
Heavy industry operators manage some of the most sensitive operational data in the world: worksite footage, equipment telemetry, incident records, and behavioural analytics. When you deploy AI vision on your sites, you're trusting your technology partner with information that touches workforce safety, insurance obligations, and regulatory accountability.
Our SOC 2 Type II certification gives you documented, third-party-verified proof that:
- Your data is protected by controls that work in practice, not just on paper
- Our systems meet rigorous availability and reliability standards
- Access to your data is tightly governed and auditable
- Our processes are built to detect and respond to security events
- Privacy is embedded into how we operate, not bolted on after the fact
When enterprise procurement teams, IT security leads, and risk officers evaluate technology partners, SOC 2 Type II is the evidence they need. We've done the work so you don't have to take our word for it.
Looking Ahead: Aligning with the EU Cyber Resilience Act
Achieving compliance is never a destination — it's a direction. And the regulatory landscape for AI and connected hardware is evolving faster than most organisations realise.
The EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which entered into force in late 2024 and phases into full effect through 2027, introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements sold in Europe. For companies like Presien — building AI systems that run on physical machines in the field — this legislation is directly relevant.
The CRA requires manufacturers and software developers to ensure that products are secure by design, that known vulnerabilities are addressed throughout a product's lifecycle, and that security updates are provided in a transparent, timely manner. It also introduces new obligations around documentation, incident reporting, and conformity assessments.
We're already aligning our product development and operational processes with CRA requirements. The security-first practices we've established through ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II give us a strong foundation. But we're going further — embedding CRA-aligned thinking into our engineering practices, supply chain management, and ongoing risk processes so that our customers in European markets — and those operating to the highest global standards — are covered.
We believe that responsible AI companies don't wait for regulation to catch up. They get ahead of it.
Security as a Strategic Advantage
There's a tendency to think of compliance as a cost of doing business — a series of boxes to tick before getting back to the real work. We think about it differently.
For Presien, security and compliance aren't separate from our mission of making heavy industry safer with AI. They're inseparable from it. The trust of the operators, safety managers, and procurement leaders who deploy our technology is the foundation everything else is built on. Without that trust, nothing else matters.
Earning SOC 2 Type II — alongside ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I, GDPR compliance, and ongoing CRA alignment — is how we demonstrate that the trust placed in us is well-founded.
We're proud of what the team has built over the past year. And we're committed to raising the bar even further.
